League Rules
MAGICPOOL'S GENERAL RULES

By becoming a Magicpool member, you agree to abide by the following rules. Violating these rules can result in: a warning, a game rerack, a tournament disqualification, a reduction in rank,or a suspension (the penalty box). NOTE: The list of rules may not cover all the situations. So if something is not listed here, it doesn’t mean that it is allowed. Use common sense! If you have any specific question, please contact any Administrator or TD.

GENERAL PLAYER RULES

1. Behavior: Magicpool is a league that stresses fun and friendly competition. So uncool behavior; such as swearing at, harassing, or insulting other members (including aimer accusations); is not acceptable. Also arguing with members or the staff in the lobby is not allowed. Please take a dispute to a private table or ask admin or TD for assistance. Breaking any of these rules will result in a warning on 1st offense, then a day in the penalty box for 2nd, and admins judgement for future infractions.

2. Yahoo Provisional IDs: These are not allowed for tournament play unless accepted by TD to play unrated. A yahoo provisional ID is one which has less than 20 completed yahoo pool games on it. However, you are still welcome to join the league and play league games if you have a provisional ID. IDs with rating under 1200 are also considered provisional.

3. League Names: Your Magicpool name and Yahoo ID must match with no exceptions. Be careful when choosing your league name. If any member feels offended by your name, you may be asked to change it.You are allowed one and only one MP name. If you have more than one ID, all accounts will be kicked. Furthermore, you can only use the Yahoo ID that is registered with MP.

4. Cheating: Cheating of any kind is unacceptable in MP. Members caught cheating or attempting to cheat will be Banned from League.

5. Coaching: Coaching, reminding or any kind of action that may affect the outcome of the game is not acceptable. By participating in tourney, you agreed to follow the rules set by the TD as well as the TD’s decision.

6. Aimer Accusion: Aimer Accusion is not allowed at all in MP. If you feel someone is using an aimer, bring your concerns to the 1st available TD or admin and the player will be watched. Accusations without proof will not be tolerated!!!

7. No booting another member off a table!

8. There will be no timers on tables unlesss the tournement specifies it or is agreed upon by both parties in a league game or race.

9. Force Forfeits are not allowed!

GAMEPLAY RULES

1. Yahoo Glitches: Glitches/Lags are part of the game. The MP staff is not responsible for either. In the event of a glitch/lag, unless the players involved can settle the irregularity themselves, the outcome of the game remains.

2. Breaks: (1) In Magicpool breaks do not count. If you pot the eight ball on the break or for various games loss the game on the break: it is rerack. (2) If the game is to brief for yahoo to record the game, it is a rerack. 3. Tables: Players must create a protected table, not a private table.

4. Sportsmanship: Please try to be a good sport and say good luck and good game.

TOURNEY RULES Tournament competition with four or more players

1. Timer on an Opponent: A) A timer can be called when: the opponent stalls or is idle for a minute, has no ping, leaves the table, refuses to turn on invites,or declines or ignores (for a minute) an invite. To call for a timer, ask your TD in the lobby. For example ask, “Timer on MP_XO”. The TD should respond with the minute in which the TD starts the timer, as in “MP_XO @ 06” 06 being the 6th minute of the hour. If the TD fails to start a timer, IM your TD. Timers last for 5 minutes in regular tourneys, 3 minutes in bootem table games, and 7 minutes in final games. B) Once TD Times out a player, that player lose's tournament and if match is in play it is invalid. NO EXCEPTIONS!

2. Reporting: Immediately after the game ends, the winner and loser reports the loss in the lobby. You state win/lost, to whom you lost, the type of tourney played and the TD.
